all there is : followyourarrow.com

Have you been there? I think it happens to all of us that at different points in life, we hit a point where we think “Is this it? Is this all there is? Is this what the rest of my life looks like?” In that moment you probably feel frustrated, sad, scared and like nothing will ever change. I get it, I have been there! In fact, sometimes I still get into a funk about things and I need to remind myself that in these moments I know the answer. The answer is that the answers are entirely up to you. I can say for sure nothing stays the same forever. NOTHING. That’s life, it moves and changes. It goes on. You just have to decide how you’d like it to go and what you are will to do to change it.

Let’s say you hate your job. You have been doing it for years, you’re not full-filled anymore, or maybe your boss is just a total jerk. You have bills to pay though so you can’t just run out of the building throwing papers on your way out. So here is your choice, you can decide that looking for another job is too hard and stay or you can decide to make a change. You get you get your resume together and start sending it out or you look for other options in the company or you hire a coach and figure out what you really want to do with your career. Change won’t happen over night but the simple act of doing something to change where you feel stuck says to the universe “I’m ready and willing to do the work, help me make a change.”

There is another part to these moments of feeling totally lost and stuck. They are trying to tell you something. It could be that you have out grown something (a job, a friend, a significant other, a belief). It could be that you aren’t living in a way that is true to yourself and your values. It could be any number of things so the next time you find yourself asking “is this all there is?” stop and take a minute to ask yourself these questions “What is really going on here? What do I need to change? What’s not working for me anymore? What do I really want?” Then you’ll have a pretty good idea of where to start in getting yourself unstuck.

All there is, is entirely up to you.
